Back to sewing on all these projects.. 4 Christmas tree blocks done.. Need to do the quilting now and get them ready for holiday delivery..

I am also trying to make some crayon bags with coloring books for a battered women's shelter..

Quilts

Fibro world is terrible... But Quilts are still in the works.. Working on new set of quilts that are percolationg along. The block is for block of the month at guild. I didn't win them . Thank you Lord.. They have too many biases. Well off to do another block of the month and work on pinning the Irish Chain and getting it quilted.. It will be interesting..

What can I say.. Time goes by.. I continue to quilt but have not pics.. Will work on that for sure..
My life is dull and boring and depressing.. nothing else to say.. world keeps changing and I can't seem to fit in here...

Hodge Podge of quilts that have been worked on in the last 3 months.. Forest Star ready for donation to Quilts of Valor of Pell City VA that will open next year.. The Rustic log is in John's hands and I think he likes it.. Just beachy is getting ready to be quilted..The teal is given to Gita who loved it.. And the design wall has been changed and I am not sure what direction I am going with that.. I am also machine quilting some old 1930's blocks together.. They are uneven and rustic.. It will be interest.. Hope you enjoy..

Lay out of quilt of valor for VA retirement center/care center Pell City AL . Will be off to be quilted on Monday .. Lots of stars..

Okay, new projects started.. A quilt for va nursing home opening in Pell city AL.. Call it quilt of valor.. Mine isn't red, white and blue.. it is brown , cream and green.. they want 60 /x 90. That will work for me..
Also working on a scrappy 9 patch I will photo.. from Bonnie Hunter's books and lessons on line.. Mine will be very scrappy..
Hot , raining and humid.. Summer will pass..
John liked his quilt and Gita's quilt will be mailed sooner than later..

We will see if I get the donation one done on time..
Doing cancer peel on face, neck arms, scalp and upper chest.. Too much sun for too many years has caught up with me.. It is red , blotchy and hurts. But such is life and three weeks of this crap is not a life time.. So you roll on..

What can I say.. Yesterday was a day of ripping apart blocks.. Making log cabin quilts and got lost in sewing stacks of them. One got really crazy.. Ripped instead of making a new one.. Only have 14 center panels for each block.. It is getting there.. I have 28 blocks but want to make flying geese to add in and some star blocks to scatter around..
Depression hangs on like a bat sleeping.. Sometimes I wish for it to fly away.. Others .. it is just there.. My Easter loaf of bread and a double flowered dog wood taken at Aldridge Garden Hoover, AL on a visit a couple of weeks ago.. Nice garden with paved paths and a trail around their dammed pond.. Quiet pretty place to be.. Closed today...

So what can I say.. These are the latest finishes. I am designing an outdoor .. wild animal quilt for a friend's rustic home.. It will be a guy quilt..
But, it is getting harder to use quilting as an escape from this life that I am not happy in. I would like to go live by myself somewhere away from my family.. Possibility of anything changing.. NOT..
No control over my own life.. Really sucks. I am really in a down and dark place this week..

April 3rd, 2011.. Boy how the time has flown by.. I started this blue and green 9 patch in February and finished it April 1 officially .. It grew as I made blocks.. Now I'm off to use some really old fabric for another cuddle quilt.. Quilt show is happening in June. Not sure if I will show this quilt or not.. Have a week to decide..
The problem is 40 miles to deliver it and 40 miles to pick it up two days later.. Have to think about that for sure.. All this guild stuff may be too much for me.. think'n..
Many things have happen since February.. Son's ex girl friend committed suicide. and he tried to revive her obviously not successful. Now there are two little boys without their mom.. So sad for sure.. Her mother is stepping up, but overwhelmed for sure..
Then my dd and sil are moving to Washington state from Florida.. It will be very hard to travel and see them.. Fibro world will be a challenge and the cost..Life changes and we all have to make changes.. not always easily or maybe reluctantly ...

Not Much New

Not Much new here. Same old.. I sew a little.. I clean a little. I eat to much.. I am lonely at times and the color blue still turns up in my new quilt. What does that say.. I used to be the green quilter.. At least there is green in this new project. Pics of things from the last two weeks.

Where is the comments supposed to go .. I surrender to this. as I surrender to the crap in my life. But, I keep sewing and sewing.. Even if I don't post them all..

My next cuddle quilt for donation to Birmingham Quilt Guild.. May not make it to the meeting if it is freezing wetness as the weather forecasts predict.
Am I making a dent in my stash. Not enough. Have to get working on Bonnie Hunter's mystery quilt.. So have finished. I am slowly moving forward or maybe backwards..

Helped Harriet do her cuddle quilt kit for Birmingham Quilt Guild.. She did a great job for her first ever quilt.. Great work Harriet..

No quilts this week.. Last week's snow.. Christmas was a bust for sure.. But what did I expect. A miracle of course.. Jesus is the miracle ..So that is enough.
My brain spins with quilting ideas but my fingers fail to keep up. My pain in my neck keeps my time limited at the machine and cutting. So progress in the quilting department is slow at best. I do have a start of another cuddle quilt to donate at quilt guild this month.. Even though I had said I wouldn't do anymore this for this year. But stacks of fabric call me to do more.. I hope I can resolve to post more this year..
