Quilting, applique

No machine quilting done..

                               One for Ella Thomas who lost her son a couple of weeks ago..

It's been hot.  and my quilting has wandered around.  But, I have made a couple of good meals with the Foreman Grill.. Grilled chicken breasts, and then turkey burger's.. So tonight it is beef.  DH can only hand a couple of none beef meals really.. I could live on no beef..  May try some sister blocks this afternoon or something with triangles which are my favorite.. Have a cool day..

So where is my mind taking me.. More scraps..I went to my quilt guild board meeting yesterday.. It always is interesting to see the all the work that goes into keep this large guild moving forward.  They do amazing things, volunteering, sewing, teaching, and being some great new friends.  How lucky am I to have been welcomed into the fold.. Pick is my latest wandering in my scrap bin.. This will be the center and more blocks are coming. have a great day.. Doctor's appointment today to get her to give me some more bp meds..

These are 4 of the quilts I have completed in the last 6 weeks.. Feel very slow and not very productive.  I will have to add Vision Lost..It was shown at the Guilds little quilt show on Monday.. No one got it.. One lady did.. It was dedicated to loss of sight through diseases macular degeneration, glaucoma, retinal detachment, MS, cataracts, aging.. It was an experiment in painting and applique.. 
Oh, dah, I have it .. I can add pics again and get going on this again..
I am going to discontinue my cable.  Boy, I can hear them now, but.. It is too much of a distraction for me.. Gotta get organized here and simplify.. to move on to changes which always happen..

Fibro-world is acting up today.. Don't have a clue why.. Better tomorrow.
I'm still working on a nine patch with strips and corner blocks.. Haven't figured out again how to add photos.. Used to be so simple go and link to picasa and upload.. Don't know what I'm missing here..
Will read the help stuff again.. Going to help a friend clean out her closet tomorrow of un-used clothes. This shall be fun.. The best thing is to see all the cleared space appear.. Now I can help others but my own purge is going slower.  Hubby is always ," but you may need that.." I am hoping for a run to the garbage dump this week to help clear out the basement some.. Baby steps sometimes.  Back to the USGA golf tournament.  In my next life I want to be able to play that game.. And walk more.. For now it would be nice to have more stamina.  May join the YMCA .. since I am so thrilled with joining the library..

Still haven't figured out the new blogger yet.. supposed to be easier.  I must be over think'n this.  All I want to do is talk about my latest adventure in scrap quilting.. Making some cuddle quilts to donate by September when the new quilt guild year starts.. will have to work on getting this going.. Will talk to my dd about what I am missing.. Have a great Sunday.. Praise our Lord for sure..

Blogger has changed and I haven't added anything in quite awhile.. Been sewing and doing stuff for others. I will try to post some pics and get back in the groove if I can figure out all the new stuff..have to figure out how to add some pics.. Learning curve here.. Adds to other curves in my life..
